Tonight my son had his first confirmation class. I asked him what they discussed, and he replied that it was on Adam and Eve. I said to him, “Well, surely, you see that the story is a metaphor and that women mustn’t be blamed for everything, right?” He responded to me, “Mom; she was blond.”

It is now very obvious to me that I’m going to have to kick my pastor’s tail!

I wonder about the Adam was first thing. G-d put him to sleep so that he could take a rib to form Eve. That is why men don't want to give up a rib for no woman (barBque joke....)

And I am guessing that your son had a Methodist type of confirmation where history and Biblical stuff is taken in a class.
